I’ve worked on these matters for a decade or more. On the material available to me the main perpetrators of the racism are Australian Federal Police Commander Rowena Penfold, past and present ACT Public Servants Angel Marina, Tu Pham, Peter Garrisson, Kathleen Goth and Sue Hall, and Members of the ACT Legislative Assembly Jon Stanhope and Ted Quinlan. At Ernst and Young it’s Tanya Taylor, Gillian Morphett and Jonathan Doy.

The number of people show just how entrenched the issues are, and how poorly Indigenous people are treated by everyone in the ACT.

Don’t forget the ACT DPP, University of London Jo Thomas who refused the Commissioner access to his own academic files (breaching the uni’s own FOI rules) and Victorian Federal ALP MP Simon Crean who attempted to access the Sydney University academic records for Bakchos. Sticky fingers far and wide.

I’ve followed the Mullins matter from afar since Blakandblack started publishing. I sat through part of the 2017 Supreme Court trial. It’s clear to me that Justice Mossop was biased against Bakchos, my guess is that Mossop is a racist and shouldn’t be on the bench. I know some of the material firsthand. I know that both Tu Pham and Angel Marina lied in oath, and Mossop did nothing. The whole saga is disgraceful.

Graeme I agree with you that Justice Mossop behaved in a disgraceful and racist manner in Bakchos’ trial. Those matters will be aired in a very public forum, as well the issues surrounding Australian Federal Police Commander Rowena Penfold, and her white supremacist buddies Angel Marina, Tu Pham, Peter Garrisson and Nick Maguire. When this goes, it’s going to be spectacular.

    2. Bakchos

Hi Graeme thank you for your comment. My barrister was concerned all the way through my trial because if the very clear bias Mossop was showing against me. You might remember him saying “I better make my summation fair.” He seriously said that, what he had to remind himself to be fair in how he did his job. That comment was serious level racism. Mossop cannot have sat through that trial and not realised that the Australian Federal Police and the ACTDPP were prosecuting me on a forged document given to them by the ACT Solicitor General Peter Garrisson. That fraud cost me 450K to defend against, yet none of those responsible have been charged. Why? The simple answer is racism.

The ACT Solicitor General Peter Garrisson has to be charged and prosecuted for what he put you through, both emotionally and financially. Justice has to be both done, and seen to be done.

The racism that has gone on in this matter is astounding and disturbing. How does Justice Mossop keep his position on the bench?

  5. Kelly Conrad

The ACT Solicitor General Peter Garrisson must be charged for knowingly using a false document to have Bakchos charged and prosecuted on. His defence apparently cost 450k, added to which is the emotional and health costs associated with being charged with a crime you didn’t commit, when we all know that the real crime they wanted Bakchos for was being born Indigenous.

  6. An Indigenous person in the ACT goes to jail for committing fairly minor offences, while the ACT Solicitor General experiences no consequences for fitting up an Indigenous whistleblower and knowingly giving false documents to the Australian Federal Police to have the Indigenous whistleblower falsely prosecuted. The Indigenous whistleblower won 16-0, the white Solicitor General faces zero consequences for his lies and actual perversion of justice.

Peter Garrisson the ACT Solicitor General and Australian Federal Police Commander Rowena Penfold have to be held legally accountable for the racially motivated crimes they have committed against Mark and his extended family.

I hate racism and racists. It sounds like the ACT is a racist place. How can racism like this happen in a modern democracy like Australia.
