A Satire in Twelve Stanzas
“Yes it’s sexy. Yes I have a pilot.” – Pauline Hanson, X, 29 April 2026
On the morning of the Farrer campaign she calls herself the crowd,
Though the crowd she courts flies Cirrus jets and counts its billions loud.
She posts the gleaming fuselage – the G7, sleek and new –
As if a gift from Gina proved the battlers’ cause were true.
A million and a half in aircraft, two million more in cheques,
Handed over on a video with the flair of stage effects.
Angus Aitken signs his name – the broker, Rinehart’s man –
And Pauline calls this struggle, calls it part of freedom’s plan.
Ian Plimer lends his half-a-million – climate sceptic, Hancock-paid –
Adam Giles adds the other, loyalty and cash displayed.
Both employed by Hancock Energy, by Hancock Agriculture,
Both directed by the wealthiest woman in this culture.
She cries the elites ignore her, that they tremble at her fight,
Then unwraps a plane on social media to bathe in her own light.
“No I won’t do Welcome to Country every time we land,” she said –
Making sure the insult travels further than the truth instead.
In Farrer, where the drought cracks open the red earth of the west,
Where the farmers count their water rights and pray against the rest,
She sends a candidate – Farley, once of the agricultural trade –
Who likened a Prime Minister to livestock. Tongue-in-cheek, he said.
Twenty-two per cent in the Resolve Poll – she rides the protest wave,
While the Liberal Party preferences her as the least-worst knave.
Angus Taylor calls it prudent, calls it picking through the worst,
Then hands her half his voter base to slake One Nation’s thirst.
She boasts of gifts so golden they could light a western town,
Then brands herself the underdog whom the powerful hold down.
No irony disturbs her – or if it does, she knows the trick:
Her followers don’t want clarity, they want the rhetoric’s kick.
GetUp raises four hundred thousand to oppose her in the field,
She raises twice that and a plane and makes the donation yield.
Her anger is a product, her grievance is the brand,
Delivered from a billionaire’s machine to a credulous land.
She shouts about the uni-party, about its dark concealed design,
While Rinehart’s men sign oversize cheques and queue up in a line.
She wails about corruption with the fervour of the blessed,
Blind to how the trail of donors lies blatantly expressed.
In Wagga Wagga at the Bush Summit, Aitken praised his friend:
“She loves Australia more than anyone” – to rapturous attend.
She loves Australia like a landlord loves a property that pays,
And those who cheer her loudest are the ones who fund her days.
The truth sits in plain daylight though she prays it stays unseen:
You cannot fly for battlers on a billionaire’s machine.
The Cirrus G7 cruises between Brisbane and the vote,
And a thousand miles of contradiction rides inside that fuselage throat.
So the story loops in Farrer, as it loops across the age:
The richest hands in Australia turn the populist’s page.
For power lives in their faith, and she thrives because they’re fooled –
And the plane lands soft as a promise, in a country being ruled.

Note on sources
All factual details are drawn from The Age / The Sydney Morning Herald reporting of 29 April 2026 on Pauline Hanson’s donation announcement: the gifted Cirrus G7 aircraft (valued at approximately $1.5–2.1 million); the $500,000 donations from Ian Plimer (Executive Director, Hancock Energy) and Adam Giles (Head, Hancock Agriculture), both Gina Rinehart employees; the $1 million donation from Angus and Sarah Aitken; Angus Aitken’s role introducing Rinehart at Newscorp’s Bush Summit in Wagga Wagga; and One Nation’s 22 per cent primary vote in the Resolve Political Monitor ahead of the 9 May Farrer by-election.

Pauline Hanson has finally shown her true colours, she’s one of them, not one of us.
Pauline Hanson has shown the world the grifter that she truly is.
G’day Bill, Pauline Hanson is Australia’s new grifter at large.
The reality is; you don’t get given multimillion dollar gifts from billionaires in the political arena without there being an expectation of quid pro quo. Pauline Hanson is now fatally compromised by Gina’s gift.
Pauline Hanson is a grifter on steroids, her racism emboldens the likes of Angel Marina, who is both racist and stupid, oh and a rubbish NRL player.
Jen totally agree, the emboldening of racists like Angel Marina and Australian Federal Police Commander Rowena Penfold sits squarely with Pauline Hanson, and the government has to act.
A grifter she is, Pauline, and not a particularly sophisticated one. Gina will expect return on her investment. Fail and the gift will be short lived. I wonder who’s paying for the registration, maintenance, insurance, fuel, pilot wages … I’d like to see that spreadsheet!
